Im redecorating my home and i was thinking about getting silk sheets, Ive used basic cotton sheets all my life and i wanted to try somthing new but i dont want to spend all that money on silk and then find them uncomfortable. So tell me does silk realy live up to its expectations?

First you need to learn something and that is thread count the higher the count the better the sheets for example I only buy 600 thread count of Egyptian cotton they cost around $90.00 per set and that is cheap because they would normally cost around $125.00. The most expensive sheets I have ever purchased was 100 count and they cost me $400.00 and worth every penny they are softer then silk . So to your answer cotton or silk cotton but the higher the thread count the better the sheets.
Silk! And yes, they really live up to their expectations.
not sure
cotton
Get some rubber sheets and a bottle of baby oil. WOOHOO!!
go with Egyptian cotton – it feels like silk! it is so nice!
Well I can tell you from experiance that silk whilst super to lie on, can actually cause an accident especially during lovemaking! I almost knocked my teeth out and my partner shot straight of the bed as silk is extremely slippery!
no. they are cold and slippery and wrinkle very fast. okay for one special night but not comfortable for all the time.
silk is GREAT, and soft and well u know silky, but the problem is, when u sleep w/ them they fall right off, cause they r soooooo slick, but if u r not a rough sleeper (like i am), u pretty much have nutin to worry about…
I am a huge good ‘ol fashion cotton lover. I’ve tried silk and I’ve tried other things like flannel or t-shirt material, and I hate them all. I would recommend sticking to the good ‘ol fashioned cotton sheets, but get a really high thread count if you’re going to splurge and want the really comfy ones. Good luck!
Silk sheets are takcy and they are not comfy. Plus they are a pain to clean. Don’t do it! If you feel the need for silk, buy some boxers.
cant say so, though i’d still prefer using cotton. silk is way too down the barrel in terms of comfort. if you’re done with the cotton sheets, try some new colours, more vibrant perhaps. see if that cheers you up.
I personally don’t like silk sheets. It seems like a good idea but the reality is that you spend most of the night pulling them up because they keep slipping off of the bed. My personal favorite as far as sheets go are the "Jersey Knit" (or T-Shirt) sheets. They are extra soft and comfy! (not to mention a whole lot cheaper than silk)
I prefer cotton…silk is too slippery
Go get some nice Egyptian cotton sheets with a high thread count. I personally hate the feel of silk. In my opinion it’s a waste of money.
I can’t stand silk sheets. They slip off the bed all the time, and you can’t keep the pillows from falling off.
Get a fine thread cotton. It’s just as luxurious, but you don’t have sheets that don’t say on the mattress, or a top sheet that slips on the floor overnight. Plus silk wrinkles a lot too. Stains are easy to show up.
with silk sheets they normally slide off of each other and any blankets, etc on top slide off.
try cotton with a thread count of at least 400. the higher the count the softer they are. and they stay in place!!
If you buy silk sheets, make sure they are machine washable. Some are hand wash only. Also, even if they’re machine washable, you have to use mild soap, cool water, and the gentle cycle. You can put them in the dryer, but if you over-dry them they’ll be ruined.
Surprisingly, they don’t wrinkle too much if you take them out of the dryer promptly. And they’re very comfortable.
nope. I hate them. your pillows will never again be on the bed in the morning. your topsheet will slide off constantly. if your legs are not perfectly smooth and hair free, the hair will catch on the sheets and be super aggravating. I bought silk sheets and got rid of them. there is no better comfort in my opinion than cool crisp cotton.
I don’t like silk. They are to slippery and the pillow keeps sliding off the bed. A good high thread count is better in my opinion.
Well, I think silk sheets are colder in the winter. They are overpriced too. We all sweat too and cotton is best to have when this happens. My choice would be cotton, all the way.
Try Flannel since it will be winter soon
not all the time
for a special occassion o yeah
Silk sheets are very comfortable and definitely worth the money. although if you have lots of sex the sheets always have wet stains and will have to be washed more frequently. Excuse my frankness jus keepin it real
Silk slides off the bed to easy. Cotton are still the best.
