How to tip silk flowers?

My wedding colors are navy blue and orange. I am doing my flowers in roses. I have found orange roses that I just love. I can not seem to find any navy roses that I like. So we have desided to do a cream colored rose and dye the tips navy. Does any one know how to do this or where I can find a place that can do this for us? We are using silk roses.

Get some acrylic paint in the navy blue color that you want and in a bowl, mix with water until the paint is extremely diluted, almost colored water. Then very gently dip the very top of the rose into the water. The color may bled into the fabric of the rose so you don’t want to dip it too far in. If you want more color, dip it further into the bowl. Also instead of dipping, you can take paint brush and dip it into the watered down paint and paint the edges, however you may not get an even effect and it obviously takes longer. 0Please be aware that that the color will bled through the fabric so less is more.

maybe speak to someone who does clothing repairs and alterations as they’ll know the correct way to dye silk. or maybe the people you’re buying the flowers from can help.
