Is it tacky to wear silk flowers in your hair?

I’m thinking of the roses women wear in their hair when it’s pulled back. is it tacky to wear fake flowers in your hair? to pull it off, should I buy a real flower to wear in my hair?

IIf you feel good with a flower in your hair , do it. You might find a comb and attach the silk flower to it so it will stay better. I wore them when I was a young girl dressing at 16 and I started a trend with the other girls I knew and went out with as a girl. Those were happy times and wearing one made me feel all the more feminine. Whatever you do just try to do it with a little class and act feminine as well as looking feminine too. Doing this will make you a woman inside and out and not a person in the world will feel that you are anything but a girl, a woman, but mostly a lady.

pulled back as in, bun or ponytail? I think yes. when the hair is out, no.

a real flower is better but it would do it you are going to be out side for a long time. if its real then it might loose it color.

Only at a formal dance or a wedding. Otherwise you’ll look silly.

yea i think so unless your doing some kind of performance, but maybe not even then. So many girls wear it to prom and it looked SO tacky.

Yes, there is a woman that I see every weekend out and she has a fake flower stuck in her hair. I always just think, how pitiful!!

I agree with the previous answer….unless you’re at a wedding or prom then it’s tacky!! Even then I would suggest fresh flowers.

i dont think that it is tacky, i have one attached to a pin and i wear it a lot. i put it in my hair when its in a bun or a pony tail. i also wear it with a headband so it looks like its part of the headband. i also see other girls with some in. it is just a nice spring touch
